Their idyllic life turns into hell with the intervention of Mohideen (Vikranth), the muscle-bound local political leader, who evokes communal trouble in place of him. In a test-meet of cricket during a period of tension, Thiru hurts Shamsuddin by accident, igniting all-out violent happenings.
Now, life becomes miserable for Thiru as he is hunted down by the men of Mohideen and is forced to escape from the village. With all these adverse circumstances, Thiru continues to play hockey in the other villages to collect money for his society with a firm intention of bringing peace to his village. Even though his adventurous journey is not trouble-free, he is strong enough to withstand anything because of his love for his village and family.
In Bombay, Thiru accidentally saves Shamsuddin, thus ending their old scores. Together they face their common enemy Mohideen and expose his false ways. It touches themes like unity, soul strength, and how sports act to bridge borders.
